Be careful what you wish for cause you just might get it

A week ago I was sweating working outside and complaining about how winter was taking forever to come to Vegas. Well Mother Nature heard my call and whipped my butt with winter a couple days ago. For those of you who don't live in Vegas the season changes like this: one day it's 80-90 degrees outside, next day it's 40-50 degrees with winds from 15-30 mph. Well winter's here ya'lls so time to hit the stores and stock up on hot chocolate and sweaters...Yes, that is all you need to be prepared for winter.

Well that's sad

I just finished the fourth and final book to the Twilight series "Breaking Dawn" and I'm so sad it's over! It's such a good series and I'm sad to see it end so soon.

As soon as I finished the books I went straight to Google the movie to see who would be playing my favorite characters-I waited til I finished the book to look because from what I heard the actors weren't the hottest people that they could have had to play the parts and I didn't want to taint my image of what I thought they would look like while I was reading. I have to say that I'm half satisfied and half not. I was surprised though, everyone I talked to said they didn't think that the movie casted a hot enough Edward and I was happy to see that the actor playing him is close to what I imagined and I think he is gorgeous! Maybe I just have a tendency for slender baby faced hotties more than others? He was my biggest fear, I was afraid that the actor would shatter my image of him but by the previews he looks like he's going to be perfect! Some of the other family members could have been better casted but I only really cared about Edward (the one character that I'm in love with, don't judge me). Besides the fact that Bella sounds like a dude, I think the movies going to be fantastic! Can't wait to go see it with my girls, and I'm thinking I might even go as far as to dress up like the Star Wars fans (that I used to make fun of, but now I think I know what their obsession feels like) do for the premiere of Star Wars movies-and bust out a pair of fake vampire teeth and a shirt that says "Only for Edward".

In short, I'll be counting down the days until 11/21/08 (don't judge me)

Talking in Church is....

Nerveracking! (der)

I spoke in Church for the first time last Sunday and I was really nervous but I had a prayer before I spoke to have the spirit and to have a calmness. All I can say is that I know that it wasn't me who was doing the talking-I truly felt the spirit and could distinctively tell what I should and should not say-and more importantly I wasn't nervous at all as soon as I started talking. Up until I started speaking my heart was pounding but as soon as I started to talk, I was calm.

It was a pretty cool experience for me and I'm grateful for the opportunity to talk in church. It just totally strengthened my testimony in the power of prayer and in the power of the holy ghost. I just thought I'd share that with you all cause it was a really interesting and happy experience for me.
